My Walden Pond
I must be in the Thoreau phase of my life. He had Walden Pond; I have Delta Pond. It is here that I celebrate this present moment.
I begin my trail walk with this meditation which allows me to connect with nature.
Mother Nature
who is everywhere
in everything
in all beings
I commune with you.
I appreciate everything
reflections in the water
ripples created by goose play and grooming
swooping bird life flying by
the radiance of the sun
the refreshing comfort of cloud cover
goslings in a line between mom and dad
the echo of honking
turtles lined up in a row on a log
in ascending order
a curious little squirrel
climbing out on a branch, staring at me
Life
in this present moment
is good and necessary
